Our philosophy of women’s ministry is more appropriately “Women In Ministry”. The focus of the Women’s Ministry is on the Word of God as the source of our strength, thus ensuring that Christ is lifted up and glorified in women’s lives. This provides women with the reassurance, faith and hope they need to fulfill their destiny in Christ.
Our desire as a church is to offer a ministry that is dedicated to the strengthening and building of healthy, Christ-centered, Bible-based marriages that glorify God, create healthy families, and serve as an example to our world. We call this Couples in Christ!
MXD OUT (making xtreme disciples) a fun night for kids and a date night for you.
Our VISION at HOP Kids is, “To build children up into maturity in Christ so that they hit the mark that God has set for their lives.” We fulfill this vision by laying Biblical foundations, creating an atmosphere for children to personally connect with God, and by giving them opportunities to impact their community for Jesus.
The Spanish Ministry at The House of Prayer is called Casa de Oracion. 1 church, 2 languages.
This ministry is one of the most active in the entire church. Young at Heart is the name of our Seniors Ministry.
Worship is a lifestyle. John 4:23 states, “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.”
We believe in providing resources for families. The Life Center is a collection of ministries designed to minister to some of the most important issues in everyday life.
The Bible says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” (1 Timothy 4:12) Generation Church is the Youth Ministry at The House of Prayer...
The Great Commission states, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you…” (Matthew (28:18-20) We take this the words of Jesus very seriously and see it as our mission to fulfill these words as individuals and as a corporate church body. We believe in the local church and planting other local churches because they are the body of Christ.

The House of Prayer is a Bible-based church that is focused on loving God, serving people, and building the kingdom locally and around the world. We have been a part of the greater Richmond community for over 35 years. We are a church that has planted other churches all over Virginia and literally around the world. The House of Prayer leads a network of churches that are also impacting their communities and represent states domestically and nations from all around the world. We love Jesus Christ. We are committed to His Word. We engage in passionate worship. We value each other and those around us.
