At The House of Prayer we believe in the power of prayer. Jesus is our greatest example and we see that He utilized prayer all througout His life. Paul says that he prays without ceasing. God moves through prayer by changing circumstances, situations, hearts, and mindsets. Prayer helps us as believers to come into alignment with the heart, mind, will, and purpose of God for our lives both individually and as a corporate church body.
Philippians 4:6-7 “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live
in Christ Jesus.”
We believe that prayer is both an individual and corporate responsibility and privilege flowing out of a vibrant and intimate relationship with God. James 5:16 tells us that “the earnest prayer of a righteous
person has great power and wonderful results”. Since we began in 1976 as The House of Prayer, the presence of God, the Word of God, prayer and worship have been our priorities. We have seen much fruit as a result of these priorities and have truly experienced the abundant life that Jesus came to give. Prayer is even in the name of our church, which comes from Isaiah 56:7. “…For my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”
