Outreach
Pastor Jonathan
Stells
So, what is outreach really? The
decision to reach out to a world that needs the message of the Good
News is how we define outreach. Quite simply, being the hands, feet,
and mouthpiece for God through our words and actions. The Outreach
Ministry at The House of Prayer does this in a variety of ways in
different settings. Currently, the way that we, as a church, reach
out to those in our community is by: getting involved in prison
ministry, conducting a food bank once a week for those in need,
pioneering a biblically-based leadership program in our local public
high school, engaging in fun block parties in communities around our
area, and hosting perhaps one of the biggest outreaches in our
county, Harvest Festival. To find out more about these exciting
programs and how you can be a part of bringing the Good News to
someone else, contact Pastor Jonathan Stells at the church office,
796-2828.
“…So that you may become blameless and pure, children of God
without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you
shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life…”
-Philippians 2:15-16a

Jesus said, "You
shall love (agape) the Lord your God with all your heart, and with
all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and
foremost commandment." The second is like it, "You shall love
(agape) your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend
the whole Law and the Prophets.
